Gabriel's Horn
What's in a name?
Gabriel's Horn is the newsletter of the church. You might wonder how we decided on this name.
Gabriel is a weather vane that has been atop our church since 1836 when the members raised the sum of $4,000 to build our current church. Imposing in appearance, the Greek Revival Style of architecture of the exterior has not been radically changed over the years. According to records printed in an old newspaper, the same "Gabriel" that blows his trumpet atop this present building is the one that topped the first frame church. Thus it seems quite appropriate to "ask" Gabriel to herald today's news of the church.
